Jesus of Suburbia elhagyta a szülővárosát és megérkezett a nagyvárosba. Önmagának magyaráz, hogy miért is elégedetlen, hogy helyes döntés volt eljönni, elmenekülni otthonról, most végre szabad és új életet kezdhet.

A Holiday George W. Bush politikája ellen lázad, akárcsak az American Idiot. Nem Amerika ellenes szám, pusztán a háborút, mint alternatívát utasítja el. Az Armageddon felemlegetése arra utal, hogy Bush háborúja lehet, hogy helyrehozhatatlan károkat okoz az egész világnak, mindent lerombol, mindenkit félresöpör aki vagy ami a terve útjában áll. Sokan áldozatul estek a politikai csatorázosásoknak, a háborúnak, a háború sosem lehet a helyes megoldás. A Holiday másfelől utalhat a sok-sok elnöki nyaralásra, miközben nagyban zajlik a külpolitikai élet a nagyvilágban az elnök csak nyaralgat.

Samuel Bayer rendezte 2005-ben. Bombák esnek a földre. Egy 1968-as Mercury Monterey verdában kezdődik a klip. Billie a járgány orrán táncoll, Tré az autó hátulján dobol, Mike pedig vezet. Többek között ilyen jeleneteket láthatunk. Aztán egy kocsmaszerűségben vagyunk, ahol mindenféle ember megfordul. Van tiszteletes, aki rókázik, Michael Jackson imitátor, aki verekszik, és mi egyéb. Aztán ismét autós jelenteket láthatunk. A vége felé 4 zöld ruhás nő táncol a háttérben, miközben Billie-t közelről láthatjuk. Aztán ismét autós jelenttel zárunk.
